Director of Middle School Education

School Year: Full Time, Up To 40 Hours, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of educational leadership experience, preferably in a middle school setting.

  • Strong understanding of middle school standards, project-based learning, and authentic assessment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to positive youth development and career and technical education.

  • Experience in integrating technology and arts into the curriculum is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity or experience with the Big Picture Learning or High Tech High model.

HOURS: Full-Time, 12-Month Exempt

Salary Range: $67,000-$80,000; Salary is commensurate with experience and education level.

Learning Coach/Advisor Assistant

School Year: Part Time, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Guides students into learning experiences and activities that focus on the mastery of the specific content area.

  • Supports the incorporation of technology into the learning experience, enhancing engagement and understanding.

  • May monitor classroom/instruct in the temporary absence of the Learning Coach/Advisor.

  • Assist in organizing and conducting new student and new staff orientations.

  • Actively participates in all staff meetings, retreats, and summer training sessions.

  • Provides on-site support for students' learning outside of the school building via field trips, service learning projects, pre-internships, and other real-world learning experiences.

  • Supports students’ real-world connected learning.

HOURS: Monday-Friday

RATE OF PAY: $15-$18 hour

Office Manager/Front Desk

School Year: Part Time, Up To 40 Hours, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Maintenance of student files and records in a computerized database and physical files. 

  • Answering correspondence, composing newsletters/handbooks, distributing mail, and generating reports 

  • Coordinating meetings and building use with the facilities department

  • Maintaining master school calendar and filing systems

  • Order office supplies and equipment for faculty general use; maintain office fax, copy and other mailroom equipment.

  • Greeting and assisting all staff, students, parents, community members, callers, and visitors to the school. 

  • Answer the main phone line, provide information, take and deliver messages, and direct callers to appropriate persons.

  • Assist visitors, answer inquiries, provide information, and direct them to appropriate school areas. 

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

HOURS: Monday-Friday

Salary Range: $15.00 to $20.73/hour

Academic Coach, Specialize

School Year: Part Time, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Maintenance of student files and records in a computerized database and physical files. 

  • Guides students into learning experiences and activities that focus on the mastery of a specific content area.

  • Supports the incorporation of technology into the learning experience, enhancing engagement and understanding.

  • May monitor classroom/instruct in the temporary absence of a teacher.

  • Assist with the instruction and supervision of students who may have learning differences.

  • Assist with tutorial activities working with an individual or group of students who may have learning differences

  • Helps to document students’ educational and social progress through periodic narrative reports, phone calls to parents, and regular student meetings.

HOURS: Monday-Friday

Salary Range: $21.00 to $27/hour

Custodian/Janitorial Specialist

School Year: FT, Up To 40 Hours, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cleans restrooms, classrooms, and common areas.

  • Stocks toilet and sanitary supplies.

  • Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors.

  • Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.

  • Empties and cleans waste receptacles.

  • Washes windows and walls.

  • Polishes metal work; and takes care of equipment and materials.

  • Set up and prepare rooms for special events and needs.

  • Reports needed repair work.

  • Performs minor repairs to building fixtures and equipment.

  • Waxes and refinishes floors, shampoos, and carpets.

  • Pick up paper and other debris from grounds and buildings.

  • Operate a variety of school vehicles and equipment.

  • Moves and/or re-arranges furniture, chairs, desks, tables, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

HOURS: Monday-Friday

RATE OF PAY: $15-$18 hour

Learning Coach/Advisor

School Year: FT, Up To 40 Hours, August-June

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Builds a strong, supportive small community of learning within their advisory and celebrates students’ accomplishments.

  • Documents students’ educational and social progress through periodic narrative reports, phone calls to parents, and regular student meetings.

  • Actively enlists parents and family members in the life and learning of their children.

  • Creates learning plans with students and their families that encompass the individual student’s personal interests and developmental needs.

  • Updates and modifies students’ learning plans every term.

  • Actively participates in all staff meetings, retreats, and summer training sessions.

  • Facilitates student learning outside of the school building via field trips, service learning projects, internships, and other real-world learning experiences.

  • Monitors students’ real-world connected learning.

HOURS: Monday-Friday

RATE OF PAY: Starting at $42,500- $55,000
